Winds are normally lighter in the morning then build mid-day for a solid afternoon session. Summer means flat water inside the bay (perfect for beginners and advanced riders who are working on their latest moves) or small easy nice and glassy waves breaking on the reef offshore (usually breaking 2-6 feet depending on the time of year). From mid-December through March, the waves increase with chop inside and some shore break, making it a challenge for beginners or anyone without a solid waterstart. Spring conditions bring moderate waves and chop, a virtual playground. Year-round water temp near 80 degrees ... lovely!
